The Good Guys

Points of mention: Second year student of Jindai High school; A Sergeant of Mithril The hero of the story, transferred to Jindai High school in order to protect Kaname Chidori. He was even assigned to the same class as her, thanks to the pre-arrangement made by Major Kalinin, Sousuke's senior officer in Mithril. He is 16 years old, same as Kaname. Before joining Mithril, Sousuke called himself "Kashim," and fought as an Afghan guerrilla against the Soviets and others. Sousuke currently holds the rank of Sergeant in the SRT. At first Sousuke piloted a Gernsback, but then switched to the newer Arbalest model. Sousuke's call sign is Urza 7.
	Name: Kaname Chidori Height: 166 cm Weight: 50 kg Age: 16 Blood Type: B Place of Birth: Japan Distinguishing features: Long, blue hair Hobbies: Softball Special skills: Cooking Weak Subjects: Geography Background: Is a returnee, having spending her childhood in America. Has an 11 year old younger sister, currently living in New York with her father. Points of mention: Second year student of Jindai High school; She's the #1 idol, but no one wants her as a girlfriend; Probability of being a "Whispered": 88% Kaname is a second year student at Jindai High school. Aside from being a class representative, she is also the vice president of the student council. At first glance, Kaname would appear to be a normal high school girl, but in fact she is a Whispered.  The Whispered are those with the genetic ability to access so-called "black technology," a science of uncharted potential that it could revolutionize the scientific order on a worldwide scale. Kaname displays none of these abilities in the first or second episodes.
	Name: Melissa Mao Height: 165 cm Weight: 51 kg Age: 25 Blood Type: B Place of Birth: New York Distinguishing features: Lithe body like a female leopard Rank: Sergeant Major Codename: Urza 2 Special skills: Keyboard recital Hobbies: Drinking Background: Dishonorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps Points of mention: A Sergeant Major in the employ of Mithril; Ethnicity is Chinese-American; Has expert knowledge and piloting skills of the AS Melissa Mao was dispatched, along with Sousuke Sagara, to keep Kaname Chidori safe from harm. As a Sergeant Major, she outranks both Sagara and Kurtz, and looks more mature than 25 years of her age. She is an American citizen, born in New York of Chinese ancestry. She is an ex-Marine Corps soldier and is highly skilled. Mao pilots an M9 Gernsback which, like the character of Char in Mobile Suit Gundam, has horns to denote that this is hers and hers alone. She both drinks and smokes heavily, and her favorite food is crab.
	Name: Kurz Weber Height: 180 cm Weight: 70 kg Age: 19 Blood Type: AB Place of Birth: Japan Distinguishing features: Blonde hair, Blue eyes Rank: Sergeant Codename: Urza 6 Special skills: Marksmanship Hobbies: Fashion Background: Former Mercenary soldier with no formal military background Points of mention: A Sergeant in the employ of Mithril; Is an excellent sniper; Uses vulgar language Kurz is the third member of Mithril sent to protect Kaname Chidori from harm. He first encounters Sousuke at Mithril "mercenary school," and they share the same rank of Sergeant. Kurz was born in Edogawa, Tokyo where he lived until he was 14. For this reason he speaks Japanese more fluently than Sousuke, who spent several years overseas. Kurz comes off as quite a playboy, and even while on duty will flirt Kaname and Kyoko.
	Name: Kyoko Tokiwa Height: 153 cm Weight: 40 kg Age: 17 Place of Birth: Japan Distinguishing features: Small, cute girl with large round glasses and braided hair Hobbies: Softball Special skills: Never gets mad Weak Subjects: Sports in general Background: Is a normal high school student. She has tried to set Kaname up with guys. Points of mention: Second year student of Jindai High school; Is good tempered and serious minded Kyoko is a second year student at Jindai High school, and has been friends with Kaname since the school's enrollment ceremony. She is a petite, charming young girl with large round glasses, braided hair, and an unpretentious personality. It would seem that she's picked up on Kaname's slight feelings for Sousuke, and she takes every opportunity to meddle in their affairs. Kyoko is never far from her digital camera and is fond of walking around and talking pictures of anything and everything. She is also in the same softball club as Kaname.
	Name: Teletha "Tessa" Testarossa Height: 158 cm Weight: 45 kg Age: 16 Place of Birth: America Distinguishing features: Ash-blonde hair and large gray eyes Rank: Captain Special skills: Captain and design of the Tuatha de Danaan submarine Strong Subject: Math Background: No military record Points of mention: Member of Mithril; Is a Whispered; Proud of herself and hates to loose Teletha "Tessa" Testarossa can be considered the other heroine of the story along with Kaname Chidori. She is a Captain in the employ with Mithril, and is both Captain and designer of the pride of Mithril, the submarine Tuatha de Danaan. Tessa is an attractive, small-framed girl of 16 with ash blonde hair and large gray eyes. She was born on the American east coast and is of Swiss/Austrian descent. Tessa is a whispered, same as Kaname, and showed prodigious talent even as a child. She is highly intelligent but is not very athletic.
	Name: Andrei Kalinin Height: 160 cm Weight: 90 kg Age: 41 Place of Birth: Russia Distinguishing features: A burly male Caucasian, he has gray hair and a beard Rank: Lieutenant Commander Special skills: Tactician and commanding officer for the TDD marine force Background: Former commanding officer of the Soviet Spetsnaz special ops unit A Lieutenant Commander in the employ of Mithril and Sousuke's commanding officer, Kalinin can usually be found onboard the submarine Tuatha de Danaan operating as Captain Testarossa's right hand man. This skilled tactician is a burly Russian in his early 40s and a former leader of the Soviet Spetsnaz special ops unit. He is also the one-time enemy of the very Afghan forces on whose side Sousuke and other once fought. Kalinin is an extremely realistic thinker, and would have no qualms about leaving members of his team die for the greater sake of the mission. Be that as it my, there is a surprisingly warm-hearted side to him that would even help an enemy in need.

The Bad Guys

	Name: Gauron Height: Unknown Weight: Unknown Age: Unknown Blood Type: Unknown Place of Birth: Unknown Rank: Unknown Special skills: Unknown Background: Unknown He is Sousuke's biggest and strongest enemy throughout the TV series. He is a terrorist, hired by an organization, but in the TV series nothing is motioned about what organization it is. He's said to probably be Japanese. Sousuke left a big scar on Gauron's forehead while working as an Afghan guerrilla. After episode 8, every time he appears, he has a deep scar on his right cheek. It's thought to have been made during the battle against Sousuke in episode 7. He got his name during the time he was fighting as a guerrilla.
	Name: Seina Height: Unknown Weight: Unknown Age: 20 Blood Type: Unknown Place of Birth: Unknown Rank: Unknown Special skills: Unknown Background: Unknown Seina belongs to the terrorist group known as "A21." In the organization, she is more like a leader. Her age is around 20. A slender body and a clod look are her character. She used Takuma by making him believe she was his sister. She loves and respects Masaya Takechi. In episode 9, just because Kalinin looks like Takechi, she shows mercy to him. She has a sad personal history in which her father persecuted her and she killed him by herself.
	Name: Takuma Kugayama Height: Unknown Weight: Unknown Age: 16 Blood Type: Unknown Place of Birth: Unknown Rank: Unknown Special skills: Able to use the Lambda Driver Background: Unknown Takuma belongs to the terrorist group known as "A21." In the organization, he is a pilot to control the giant AS "Behemoth." Age 16. He has the ability to control the Lambda Driver the way he wants by using a drug. Because of that, he is quite emotionally unstable. He believes that Seina is his sister, and he does whatever she says. He opened up a little bit to Tessa. It is likely that he killed his real sister.
	Name: Zaied Height: Unknown Weight: Unknown Age: 19 Blood Type: Unknown Place of Birth: Unknown Rank: Unknown Special skills: Unknown Background: Unknown He appears in episodes 15, 16. and 17. He spent time with Sousuke as a mercenary, as a good friend of Sousuke, and as an older member, since Sousuke was very little. He was a gentle minded young boy, but lately he's been going along with stronger ones just to survive. I imagine that he had no choice other than doing this to survive in the war-battered country of Helmajistan. But he didn't seem to open up to Gauron, either.
