EP1 The guy I kinda like is a sergeant
Full Metal Panic! begins with our protagonist, Sousuke Sagara, making his grand entrance and rescuing a young Whispered girl. Sousuke is piloting a type of robot that stands 8 meters tall and is referred to as an Arm Slave (or AS).
Just when we are thinking that the tone of this story is of the more serious variety, we see the comedy that ensues as Sousuke, assigned to protect high-schooler Kaname Chidori, treats high school as if it were any other battle zone and begins doing more harm than good.
EP2 I want to protect you
Sousuke Sagara accepts his mission to protect Kaname with zeal, but going as far as to draw his weapon on any suspicious-looking character that comes too near. He ends up getting yelled at by Kaname's teacher, Ms. Kagurazaka, and on top of that (un?)fortunately grabs hold of Kaname's, err, bosom. Smack!
EP3 Lingerie Panic
Captain Teletha "Tessa" Testarossa and the other members of Mithril have at last managed to track down the institute for Whispered Research. Tessa wavers uncertainly before giving the order to attack the compound, which is summarily destroyed. Meanwhile, Sousuke, Mao, and Kurz are hot on the trail of a suspicious-looking character that has crept into Kaname's apartment. The three quickly apprehend the intruder and are surprised to find that it is none other than Shinji Kazama.
EP4 Kidnap
The plane Kaname and some of her friends are on gets hijacked by terrorists and their ringleader is Gauron, who is supposed to by dead. Sousuke loses his cool. It would appear that the object of the kidnapping is to determine whether or not Kaname is in fact a Whispered.
Sousuke, meanwhile, begins frantically formulating a rescue plan. But just when he signs off from his communication with Mithril, he feels the cold weight of a pistol pressed to his temple. It is Koh, one of the terrorists...
EP5 Whispered
Kaname, who very nearly became a victim to the terrorists, is rescued by Sousuke. The two have almost made their escape when suddenly their pursuer appears directly before them. Sousuke decides the best way to shake off his pursuer is to use a Savage to begin an AS battle. Right in the middle of the skirmish, however, Gauron gives an odd little laugh and departs.
EP6 Still Alive
Kaname, Sousuke, and Kurz have barely managed to survive. When the topic turns to escape, however, Sousuke says that there's no way the three of them could make it in their condition and Kaname should flee on her own. Kaname refuse this outright. Just when we're starting to think, "That's it then? It over!" Kaname manages to save the three of them!
EP7 Boy Meets Girl
At last-- the appearance of Mithril's new AS, the Arbelest! With his heart set on saving Kurz and Kaname, Sousuke manages to get into the pilot seat of this latest AS. And when he does, he knocks aside RK92 Savages left and right, after that, he goes one-on-one with Gauron! As the air resonates with the sound of the awesome Lambda Drivers... what will the outcome be?
EP8 Part-Time Steady
Strange days indeed as suddenly Sousuke takes it upon himself to become the boyfriend of Mizuki Inaba, a girl in the same grade as Kaname. In response, the ever-aggressive Kaname launches all-out war using her harisen, a long accordion-like wand of folded paper that gives a painful thwack. Meanwhile, the cold, watchful eyes of Mizuki's friends have settled firmly on Sousuke.
EP9 Dangerous Safe House
Tessa rushes to an SDF base after hearing that a member of A21 has been arrested. She's shocked to see Takuma Kugayama, who has become a drug addict. Shortly after, Seina arrives in an RK92 Savage and attacks Tessa!
EP10 Run, Run, Run!
Kaname Chidori is in a bad mood after seeing Tessa emerge from the bath. Sousuke Sagara tries to explain, but things only get worse when Tessa wickedly acts as if she and Sousuke had an indecent relationship. Then they find a transmitter in Takuma's arm.
EP11 Behemoth Awakening
Kaname and Tessa are taken away. Sousuke and Kurz drive a little pick-up truck. Mao goes in her M9. They all hurry to reach the destination based on the signal sent from the transmitter built in the bracelet Kaname wears. Finally, they reach the tanker anchored at the Aomi wharf, but they end up surrounded by the Self-Defense Force and police.
EP12 One Night Stand
"Behemoth," the giant AS, finally unveils itself and moves. Mao's M9 is crushed into pieces in a second. They are in a desperate situation. They try to escape while Behemoth's cannon opens fire. Kurz's shooting makes the Behemoth flinch momentarily. However, it's just a drop in the ocean. They think it is over, but a crusader comes down from the sky...
EP13 A Cat and Kitten's Rock & Roll
Tessa and Mao have a big argument?! They decide to make an end of this argument by fighting in the AS's. Mao is calm and composed, but Tessa is so desperate that she asks Sousuke to give her training to beat Mao no matter what it takes, but... it becomes a somewhat strange situation?!
EP14 Is Narashino Burning?
It takes place at a Post Festival. "Narashino Self-Defense Force Corps vs. Nerima Self-Defense Force Corps" - a fatal dual, started with all sorts of events. Shinji, who hasn't gotten along well with his father lately, reluctantly gets to board a tandem AS with some help from Sousuke as a mediator for reconciliation. The things don't look good to Narashino. People think that the Nerima team would win this year again. But at the last event - cavalry battle, something unusual - a stag at bay is a dangerous for- happens!
EP15 The Wind Blows At Home, Part 1
Mithril's Intelligence Dept. tell Sousuke that Gauron is still alive, and he is ordered to join the Gauron Assassination Team. Tessa opposes the idea in her heart. Kaname pretends not to be worried but... Sousuke leaves for his home without knowing these two beautiful girls' sad feelings.
EP16 The Wind Blows At Home, Part 2
Sousuke and the team continue being pursued after they run away. Sousuke, who knows the area very well, is supposed to be able to escape from the pursuers?! But there is a man who can predict Sousuke's actions. Zaied - he's the brother in arms who fought guerrilla battles with Sousuke.
EP17 The Wind Blows At Home, Part 3
Zaied outwits Sousuke's team and interdicts their advance! Zaied's team surrounds Sousuke's team who is carrying a nuclear warhead. Zaied moves first. While Sousuke is fighting against Zaied, Gray and the team are aghast at the power of Gauron who can be called "Monster."
EP18 Deep Sea Party
Sousuke spends most of the budget for the school festival. Kaname gets so disappointed. It might have been his apology? He invites he to "go to a southern island." Kaname is so happy at the bottom of her heart. She is filled with excitement, so is her suitcase filled with her things. The destination is a southern island but it is not what she is thinking...
EP19 Engaging Six and Seven
Tessa uses the cleaning tank in the submarine for a bath when she wants to relax her exhausted body and soul. Today she ends up going to the bath with Mao and Kaname! There, Mao drinks what are supposed to be non-alcoholic drinks and tells Tessa and Kaname how she first met Kurz and Sousuke.
EP20 Venom's Flame
De Danaan is heading toward Melida Island when it receives an emergency contact. Gauron's troops have appeared at Beridaobu Island! This island is the US military's chemical weapons base. It is a volatile situation. They have Gauron's new AS, Venom, rampaging around and also the latest mass production model, known as Shadow. Things start to get tense for Sousuke and the others.
EP21 Deep Trap
Gauron manages to escape thanks to the betrayal of Danigan and Guen. Unfortunately, Kaname encounters the traitors when McAllen and Lian are shot to death. Gauron takes Kaname hostage. He goes into the command center and takes over Dana, the AI of de Danaan.
EP22 Jack In The Box
Gauron hijacks the de Danaan. Tessa and the others are driven to the wall. Nobody comes to rescue them because most of the crew are locked out in the hanger. However, Sousuke and Kurz fell that there is something wrong and they are on the loose. They immediately go into action to rescue Kaname and the others.
EP23 Field Of Giants
Sousuke kills Danigan and manages to rescue Kaname. On the other hand, Kurz has a tough time fighting against Guen and gets cornered. When he thought that would be the end, Mao throws surgical knives and kills Guen. After the two men were killed, Gauron undertakes a suicidal action.
EP24 Into The Blue
Gauron gets in Venom and intensely attacks Arbalest, which Sousuke pilots. But Sousuke fights back ferociously and beats down Gauron can only fight defensively and he can only cling on to Sousuke as the action intensifies and the end draws near.
