The Mithril Mechs

The Gernsback is the primary weapon of Mithril. It represents the cutting edge of ultra smart technology unparalleled by any country in the world. The device is not only capable of high maneuverability but also, thanks to the ECS (Electronic Cloaking System) technology, it can't be detected by any radar or sensor. It can likewise become invisible to the naked eye. The Gernsback would not generally do anything reckless as attempt to pummel a Hind attack helicopter with its hands, but as part of its specs, it could if the pilot so desired.
	Name: Arbalest Model: ARX-7 Height: 8.5 m Weight: 10.8 tons Top Speed: Unknown Maximum Jump: Unknown Maximum Battle Time: Unknown Power Source: Palladium (cold fusion nuclear reactor), Ross & Humbleton APR 2500a Fixed Armaments: AM 11 12.7mm chain gun (x2), XM 18 wire gun (x2) Standard Portable Firearms: Otto/Melala "Boxer" 57mm scattershot, Royal Ordnance M1108 anti-tank dagger, GeoTron Electronic GRAW-2 monomolecular cutter Points of mention: Loaded with a Lambda Driver The AS piloted by Sousuke. It is loaded with a Black Technology-based Lambda Driver, and judging from its external frame design is probably the successor to the M9 Gernsback. The power that this mecha keeps hidden beneath the surface is simply unfathomable. Since the Arbalest was piloted by Sousuke in episode 6, it refuses to recognize anyone else but him as the pilot. This model still has numerous bugs to be worked out, however it is known the mech's Lambda Driver is functional. A distinctive feature of this mecha is that its face resembles a ninja carrying a rolled-up scroll in its mouth.
	Name: Self-Defense Force Model 96 Model: 96 (M6 Modified) Height: Unknown Weight: Unknown Top Speed: Unknown Maximum Jump: Unknown Maximum Battle Time: Unknown Power Source: Gas Turbine Engine Fixed Armaments: Unknown Standard Portable Firearms: Unknown They were Japan's latest anti-AS unit set from Naroshino but the AS they encountered was so much superior. They looked very awesome, when they first came out, but they got beaten instantly by the Behemoth operated by Takuma using the Lambda Driver. Mithril used to use the same M6 model until the M9 was deployed. They looked quite cool.
	Name: Bushnel Model: M6 Height: Unknown Weight: Unknown Top Speed: Unknown Maximum Jump: Unknown Maximum Battle Time: Unknown Power Source: Gas Turbine Engine Fixed Armaments: Unknown Standard Portable Firearms: Unknown Episode 13 is the only episode in which the M6 a.k.a. "Bushnel" appears. Bushnel is one generation older than the M9, but in the US, they are still on the front line. At Mithril it is out of date. It's also inferior to the M9 in mobility, noise level and power. Tessa chooses this model because it is easy to use. The Model 96, which the self-Defense Force uses, is an altered version of the M6.

The Enemy Mechs

	Name: Savage Model: RK92 Height: Unknown Weight: Unknown Top Speed: Unknown Maximum Jump: Unknown Maximum Battle Time: Unknown Power Source: Unknown Fixed Armaments: Unknown Standard Portable Firearms: Unknown The RK92 "Savage" made its first appearance in episode 4. The Savage is a Soviet-made AS provided mainly to communist countries such as China and North Korea, as well as various guerilla organizations. In episode 4, we saw that it had also cropped up as a tool of the autonomous Khanka dictatorship. Sousuke also often piloted this model during his time in Afghanistan. Though the Savage tends to be defeated rather soundly through the course of the story, its squat, froglike appearance makes it a favorite when compared to the other more robot-like mecha.
	Name: Coder Model: Plan 1056 Height: 9.1 m Weight: 10.8 tons Top Speed: Unknown Maximum Jump: Unknown Maximum Battle Time: Unknown Power Source: Palladium reactor Fixed Armaments: Unknown Standard Portable Firearms: Mauser MGK 35mm rifle, IAI "Dark Edge" monomolecular cutter Points of mention: Is loaded with a Lambda Driver This is the AS piloted by Gauron, distinctive for the long, ponytail-like extension at the base of the head unit. The Coder is also loaded with a Lambda Driver, the product of Black Technology. Because this AS is still in the testing stage, the unit tends to operate not as expected, even breaking down in the middle of a battle. However, it's no exaggeration to say that the Coder is the most powerful AS developed yet. Its maneuvers so quickly that even Kurz has a tough time aiming at it. The mecha would appear to be the product of some as yet-unidentified organization that has declared war on Mithril.
	Name: Behemoth Model: Unknown Height: Unknown Weight: Unknown Top Speed: Unknown Maximum Jump: Unknown Maximum Battle Time: Unknown Power Source: Gas Turbine Engine Fixed Armaments: 30mm machine gun, large sword Standard Portable Firearms: Unknown Points of mention: Is loaded with a Lambda Driver A super giant size AS which "A21," a terrorist group, owns. The pilot is Takuma Kugayama. Its size is nearly 40 meters in height. But if its Lambda Driver is not started by Takuma, it cannot even hold its own weight. In spite of its large size, it moves rather quickly. Its main weapons include a large sword suitable for its body size, and a 30mm cannon. If Takuma wasn't injured or Kaname wasn't aware of being a Whispered, a terrible thing could have happened.
	Name: Shadow Model: Unknown Height: Unknown Weight: Unknown Top Speed: Unknown Maximum Jump: Unknown Maximum Battle Time: Unknown Power Source: Unknown Fixed Armaments: Unknown Standard Portable Firearms: Gatling Cannon, Monomolecular Cutter This one is called Shadow, and this version appears in episodes 15, 16, and 17. Zaied is given this machine. It has higher performance than the mass produced model. It's quite strong and gives Arbelest & Sousuke quite a tough time. Especially the gatling cannon it carries, which is a serious threat. It's as quick as Coder, the AS Gauron operates. The best scene is where Shadow breaks Mithril's Gernsbacks into pieces.
	Name: Shadow (Mass Production Model) Model: Unknown Height: Unknown Weight: Unknown Top Speed: Unknown Maximum Jump: Unknown Maximum Battle Time: Unknown Power Source: Unknown Fixed Armaments: Unknown Standard Portable Firearms: Monomolecular Cutter This is the mass prodution model of the AS Shadow. It's different from Zaied's model not only in capability, but also in coloration. In this series, you'll see many of Gauron's troops use these during Mithril's battle against Gauron at Berildaodu Island. It can be said that this is the replacement for the AS Savage which often appeared until now. But unlike the Savage, it's capabilities are equal to Mithril's Gernsback.
	Name: Venom Model: Unknown Height: Unknown Weight: Unknown Top Speed: Unknown Maximum Jump: Unknown Maximum Battle Time: Unknown Power Source: Unknown Fixed Armaments: Unknown Standard Portable Firearms: Monomolecular Cutter, Gatling Cannon This is the last enemy for Sousuke and Arbelest. This AS is called Venom. It means deadly poison. This is the third AS Gauron operates. The body is pure red as if it were a scorpion. Its ability is unknown because it was recently developed, but one thing we can say for sure is that it's equipped with a Lambda Driver. This mecha doesn't have equipment that reminds you of a pony tail like the last mecha.
